Thanks for the memories, this was one of the great rock n roll movies. It was the first time we saw a lot of these artists back in England. I loved it so much I saw it 19 times the first week it came out in England. And when it came out on VD I was a rushing to the store.

You are certainly welcome! We believe that the American Invasion of Britian came before the British Invasion of America... but music is usually a force for unity and rock and roll united the United States with Britian in a creative way. Wes and Christine
You are absolutely correct, the American Invasion came first. And now this is just my opinion, but I think a huge part of the British Invasion was not for the good. I really believe that the Beatles single handed killed rock n roll as a commercial giant. True "rock" evolved, but what the Beatles originally brought over was pure "pop". Thankfully there were other groups like the Stones who brought their American Blues tinged rock over, from which "Rock" evolved. So may of the rock n roll stars diminished somewhat and some switched to country, and some to rock-a-billy. It is just that "pure" rock n roll kind of disappeared a little after 1962. But for us old geezers it will never die.
The period between 1962 and around 1966 was a bit too much pop for my liking. Thankfully singers like Little Richard, Fats Domino, etc never quit.
