Christine here: I think college radio is about the only place you can still find a D.J. who listens to records and chooses what he or she plays. Nick Harcourt over at KCRW Santa Monica College is my favorite. I also like stations where there is an effort to announce what was just played, because I don't have the time to go into a record store and "sample" music on earphones.
