Billboard started out in the mid 1940's as a rather informal list of top selling albums but about the time that I was discovered as "The Next James Dean," and recorded "Lonesome Love" and "Tiny Spaceman" the magazine had begun to take itself seriously and started keeping weekly tabs on singles as well as albums.
